E Bunny Morning ROAR!Roar! Summer 07 Freinds

December 12th, 2006

Greetings to all!

We hope you enjoy this yearly recap with links to the picture gallery.

In January Dylan and Sharon joined a playgroup on Wednesday mornings. They have attended activities including The Children’s Museum in Carson City, touring a Fire-house, Chuck E Cheese outings, playtime at playmate houses and more.

In February we attended the Dragon Tales Live show, which plays on PBS. Also in February Sharon and Dylan took there 1st road trip alone to Fresno. Sharon’s cousin Jeremy was expecting a baby and cousin Tiffany was getting married. So off they went for a baby shower/wedding shower.

In March we celebrated Dylan’s second birthday and a couple of firsts. Dylan received his first professional hair cut and first dentist visit. At the end of the month we attended Tiffany’s wedding in Fresno.

May was an eventful month. We took Dylan on his first camping trip to Calaveras Big Trees for a five day adventure with Jeff’s sister Judy and family. Sharon’s dad also joined us for a couple days. Dylan was fascinated with the stream and hiking around and collecting sticks. We even ventured into a steep cavern near Angels Camp, California.

The summer was filled with play-dates and water activities. Sharon took Dylan to “Wild Waters” water park twice during the summer and Fourth of July was spent in downtown Sparks. Dylan enjoyed the fireworks and carnival. Jeff continued to work on the backyard and planted more trees and built a shed.

In August we traveled to Marine World, where Dylan was somewhat overwhelmed and fell asleep as we wheeled out of the gates back to our hotel. Then on to Fresno for the annual Cox family reunion.

During September we pigged out at the annual Rib Cook off in Sparks. The following weekend we attended the Reno balloon races, at the crack of dawn. We also went to Sacramento for visit to the Zoo and Julia’s (Jeff’s niece) benefit sock hop at her school that Judy organized. It was entertaining to watch all the kids in their 50’s outfits.

October was another month of travel to Sacramento to drop off a couch to Alicia for her new apartment, then off to Redding for a family reunion on Jeff’s side of the family. On Halloween Dylan was a dressed as a Jack-o-lantern. He had no desire to dress up in as anything else. He already has an opinion that can not always be swayed. Sharon also started sitting for a three month old baby, five days a week and Mayah and Tyler (Josh’s children) on Mondays and Wednesdays. It is a crazy house on those days with four kids, ranging in age from five months to three years!!!

Thanksgiving was spent at Josh’s house for a wonderful meal of two fried, two smoked and one oven baked turkeys with enough leftovers for all. Sharon’s mom spent a week up in Reno and during her visit Dylan went to a breakfast with Santa, a tree lighting ceremony with fireworks at the new Summit Mall and finishing off the evening with a chilly horse drawn carriage ride.

During December we tried to prepare Dylan to sit on Santa’s lap, but standing near him was all he (Dylan) allowed. Dylan loves all the lights, decorations and Christmas music. This month we plan to vacation at the Christmas themed Disneyland Park. This will be Dylan’s first trip to see Mickey in person. Christmas Eve will be spent with Jeff’s family and Christmas Day with Sharon’s family.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
